The Art of Pinball

A private pinball collector commissioned this photography book, covering art from pinball machines from the 1970s to 2000.

The book aims to look at the subject in a different way. The visuals on these machines constantly change with different lighting, reflections and mechanical responses. By using photography to frame and create a static piece of art an abstract beauty is highlighted. Time and use has worn away some of the silk screen print and light shines through so that the unique qualities of each pinball machine are emphasised.
